Multi-Award winning singer and Hitmaker “Yo Maps” has recently become a victim of social media backlash following his Kwacha Music Awards nomination. This was after his record label “Nexus Music Entertainments” asked his fans to vote for him.
The Mr. Romantic Hitmaker who has scored 6 nominations in this year Kwacha Music Awards has most fans blatantly stating they wont vote for him. The chaotic backlash which was observed in Nexus Music’s comment section seems to have risen from his K30 000 social media drama. Several weeks ago, Yo Maps and his wife “Kidist” were quoted to have refused to feature on “That Zedpodcast” show unless he (Yo Maps) was paid More than K30 000 by the producers and presenters of the podcast. However, the issue was resolved and both sides publicly made peace.
Yo Maps has been nominated in the categories for Best Collaboration, Album of the Year, Song Of The Year, Best Male Artiste, Best mainstream and Best Afro Fusion.
