Miles Sampa to introduce his own awards
Lusaka mayor Miles Sampa has announced that he will be having his own awards this year were he will be recognising hard working people in various categories.
Some of the categories he mentioned include best radio station, best TV station, best female entrepreneurs and best journalist. The mayor said he will give more details later.
He also added that he actually intended to have an award show for this but he will not have it due to covid19, he has urged Zambians especially youths to be innovative and hardworking.
The mayor was speaking at a media briefing hosted by PR Girl Media for the Lusaka July. The mayor was also appointed brand ambassador for this year’s Lusaka July event scheduled to take place on the 25th of July 2010.
He said he is in full support of the event mainly because 10% of the proceeds are going to be donated to girls and women who have been highly affected by the Corona pandemic,however he has advised the organisers to make sure all the given guidelines will be adhered to.
