Zambia’s award winning HipHop artiste “Jae Cash” might not be an upcoming artiste anymore but the rapper has been shortlisted as a winner for “Empawa100”. The initiative which is sponsored by “Mr Eazi” is meant to empower uprising artists from Zambia and other African regions alike. Each winner will be awarded $3000 to boast their musical career and 10 out of 100 will be selected for full mentor-ship and sponsorship.
Nonetheless, Jae Cash becomes the first established artiste from Zambia to be selected against all odds. He was announced as winner yesterday on “Empawa Africa” Instagram account. Few weeks ago, Macky 2 joked about joining a contest which was received with backlash and criticism. Other local upcoming artists to shortlisted include Trinah South, Scott, Ruth Ronnie, Towera Kaira etc.
The project which was Launched in Zambia by “Mr Eazi” few months ago will soon come to end.
