Wiggyman is a Zambian singer, songwriter, producer born in Ndola, Copperbelt province but grew up mostly in Lusaka. He started singing in early 2000s while creating and writing songs with his peers.

Between 2005-2006, he got an opportunity to record in a professional recording Studio at Kula Music studio run by proprietor veteran pianist, producer, Singer, songwriter Elijah Marko Tembo Jr and James Mulenga Under mentorship of producer/engineer Ken “the mindblowa” Sinyangwe.

In 2008 he joined Music Crossroads Zambia a Genuine Musicians Youth empowerment organization through music skills training and development and was part of the administration where he helped among other things to identify talent, provide a platform for other young musicians/artist to acquire vital knowledge and live music experience requisite to the industry.

In 2009 he put together a group of talented artists/musicians later known as Nyali which included Theresa Ng’ambi ,Paul Enepal Mulauli and German based vocalist Yvonne Mwale and was the first Zambian group/band to win a music crossroads interergional festival.

During his time at Music Crossroads, Wiggyman did not record or put out his own music but stayed active by way of performing as a backing vocalist for Cactus Agony “The Philosopher” with whom he toured extensively across the Country. Wiggyman has also performed as a backing vocalist for Maureen Lilanda, Mumba Yachi, Milz Jaybus etc.

In 2014 Wiggyman started recording again and released his first official single produced by Jerry Fingaz titled “Born from a Woman” which was nominated at the 2015 ZNBC Born and Bred awards for “Best Conscious Video” alongside Nathan Nyirenda, B flow Ft Macky2 & Chef 187 and Indy K ft Dalisoul.

To date Wiggyman has sparingly released a number of singles which includes “The Spirit of African People” featuring Sir Jones and Milz in 2017, “I’ll give You Love” featuring Izrael and Milz in 2018, Bana Mayo Favour in 2019 and Temperature, Vili Ku Mutima and Nima esa in 2020.

 

Over the years Wiggyman has worked in different capacities (artist, writer, producer/studio engineer etc) with some of Zambia’s best musicians, artists and producers which includes producer/administrator/chief musician/promoter Brian Shakarongo Chengala, Producer/admin/businessman Tivo “de bon gout Connaisseur” shikapwasha, award winner and one of Zambia’s best guitarists Sir Jones Kabanga, Mathew Tembo, Runnel, Mampi Queen Diva, K’millian, Alice Chuma, Maiko Zulu, Sista D and many more. He attributes his continued growth as an artist to experience stemming from working with different extremely talented musicians, producers etc. His genre is mainly reggae, dancehall and afro fusion.
