The XYZ Entertainment CEO “Bobby East” missing on the List for the Nominees of the first ever “Kwacha Music Awards”. The SUN FM spearheaded awards has the rapper left out despite putting out Radio Charting singles in the period of 2015-2017.
Among the singles the Rapper released is “Next To You” which featured the New RnB Sensation star “Deav” and topped several local radio stations charts’. Other notable songs he released are “Do or Die” and Tamanga. Despite being on low-key last year and this year, Bobby East released his debut album (B-East album) in 2015 and managed to Scoop an award for “Best HipHop album” at “ZMA 2015“. Out of the whole XYZ record label and Crew, only Slapdee, Starsh and Daev have made it on the Nominees’ List.
Kopala Swag artists on the other hand seem to be enjoying their dominance on these awards with multiple nominations from the Clique. Among the Kopala Swag artists nominated are Pilato, Macky 2, Chef 187, Kiss B, Jemax, Afunika and Drifta Trek.
The few names from the XYZ camp on the list is probably the reason XYZ-fans are criticizing the transparency of these awards.
