Guru Nation frontliner and award winning HipHop artiste “Stevo Rap Guru” yesterday took social media by storm with his verse on “Selako” by Drifta Trek. The rapper who allegedly took a swipe at his former boss on “Slapdee” had his verse received with mixed feelings.
Later in the evening, the “Imagine” Hitmaker took it to Facebook to set the record straight about the controversial verse. According to his Facebook post, the rapper says he is ‘a decade’ away from bitterness and his verse was directed to music analysts or critics and not artistes or albums.
“Munani shootila album ati too many features/ bena ba chosa same issue, zee vima creature..” Stevo raps on the song prompting Listeners to allege he was comparing his “Saved” album to Slapdee‘s “Mother Tongue“.
Earlier on Stevo also revealed the verse was supposed to be on Dj Mzenga Man‘s 2020 End of Year Cypher but he decided to have it removed. This explains why the rapper who has been constantly featured on his Big Brother’s annual Cyphers decided to miss out this time around.
