Solomon Moyo popularly known as Solomon Plate is a music producer and gospel artist. He decided to call himself Solomon Plate because he believes he is like a plate on which God saves his word. He started music from a young age by playing drums in church then later discovered he could sing. He participated on Muvi tv’ s kids star singing competition were he won the weekly round.
Solomon says his music isn’t inspired by one specific thing but it is inspired by so many things among them is quest to kill the notion that gospel music is boring or meant for specific people. Over the years he has worked with big names in the industry as a singer and a producer the likes of Magg 44, Pompi, Slap Dee, Abel Chungu, Bobby East just to mention a few.
He released an album titled Munthu which is currently one of the most streamed albums on Deezer this album has songs like Donki, Way you are, For me among others. In 2019 Solomon was nominated for the Kwacha Music Awards in 2 categories namely best new comer and best gospel album of year.
