Zambia’s Female HipHop export based in Australia “Sampa The Great” has won several awards at this year’s “Australian Recording Industry Association Awards“. The rapper was nominated for 6 categories and has walked away with 3 awards.
The rapper who dropped her debuted album “The Return” last year was nominated for Album of the year, Best Female Artiste, Best HipHop Release, Best Independent Release, Best Video, Best Australian Live Act. She managed to win Best Female Artiste, Best HipHop Release and Best Independent Release at the highly contested award show.
This is not the first time she has grabbed trophies at ARIA as she won Best HipHop release for “Final Form” last year. The rapper has continued to gain recognition and accolades on the global spectrum. She is also working to build a stronger base back home in Zambia and she recently featured on Slapdee’s “Mother Tongue” album.
