Born 14th February, 2003 in Mpika, Muchinga Province, HipHop artiste Kriss Troy is on the verge of being a Household name. The Solwezi based rapper definitely what would be the future of Zambian HipHop.
Kriss Troy discovered he could rap at the age of 11 when he was a pupil at Solwezi Basic School. He later on decided to take his music seriously in 2019 and released his first single called “I’m Blessed Not Cursed” in 2020 and the song featured Kenny Kaspas and Blade C. This earned him props among his peers and he slowly started getting recognition in his town.
His music is characterized as Authentic and Hustle inspired as he focuses mainly on being able to achieve anything from nothing. Kriss Troy whose real name is Gift Christopher Mubanga also released “He Can’t”, Street, Diamond and Ice in 2020 which boosted his career. He draws inspiration for his music from Tyga and Chris Brown as can both sing and rap.
He recently dropped his 2021 debut single called “Private” alongside Karmzy. Kriss Troy is signed under “Grea Records Entertainments”. His aim is to cross borders with his music and become a source of inspiration for many.
