HipHop artiste Bobby East a day ago went off on Twitter to defend his English raps. The rapper who has been criticized for his accent whenever he raps in English says he doesn’t want to be mistaken for anything other than being Zambian.
Bobby East was replying to a Tweet by South African rapper AKA who encouraged people not to shy away from where they come from. Bobby East further emphasized he is a proud Zambian hence his persistence to rapping in English with his typical local accent.
Niggaz on here used to troll me for rapping in English with what they termed a komboni accent (some still do)… I just never wanted to be mistaken for anything other than what I am, a proud Zambian!!! https://t.co/MupIviNF9o
