For some time some people have criticised multi award winning gospel artist Abel Chungu for singing love songs saying he should stick to gospel specifically.
However during this year’s kwacha music awards on 28th September Abel came through to respond to this criticism as he was receiving his Kwacha music award for best RnB for his hit love song Extra time.
He said love is the most important thing in the world and we should all live by it, he further stated that he will continue to preach love through his music.
Despite the criticism Extra time has received massive support and airplay from the time it was released, from topping radio charts to winning awards.
Other love songs he has done such as Ichitemwiko and Chani peza continue to be be favorites of many and usually on people’s wedding play lists..
